This two bedroom flat ‘penthouse’ apartment has probably the best location in block, and features split levels, superb views to the castle, a spa bath, and a magnificent turreted living room incorporating no less than 5 windows and views up to West Port. This flat is spacious and beautifully decorated and furnished and offers superb views of the castle from one of the bedroom and kitchen windows. Accommodation comprises living/dining room, two double bedrooms (one with wall to wall mirror wardrobes), fully fitted kitchen and a bathroom with genuine Whirlpool spa bath. It is electrically heated throughout. Two bicycles (helmets, locks and lights included) are available for use free of charge by prior arrangement. The apartment is superbly positioned within the very heart of Edinburgh's old town immediately adjacent to the famous Grassmarket. It is less than 200m from the Castle and 500m from the EICC (Edinburgh International Conference Centre; see location map below). Numerous pubs, clubs, restaurants, theatres, cinemas and superior shopping facilities are located close by, including Harvey Nichols, House of Fraser and Jenners etc., all of which are within a 10 minute walk. George Street also offers a wide variety of designer boutiques. Princes St (500 m) and Waverly train station (800 m) are easily accessible.
This apartment has a late checkout time of 11.00am on the day of departure. Your bags can be left in the apartment till 2.30pm by prior arrangement.
Car parking
A secure underground car parking space located in the block is available upon request at a cost of £10 per day. There is metered parking available in the Grassmarket (40p per 15 mins) or an NCP car park nearby (250 metres) which costs £13 per day.

Additional
Electricity, hot water, linen and towels are included in the price. Clean linen and towels are provided. There is an iron and an ironing board in the flat and also a hair dryer. There are two foldaway beds and a travel cot can be provided on request. A high chair and children's plates and cutlery can be provided on request at no extra cost.
Guests can have the use, free of charge, of 2 mountain bikes (helmets, locks and lights also supplied). This may require prior arrangement at busy times. The bikes are stored in the bike shed which is located near the entrance of the complex.

The apartment block is located on a hill running down towards the bottom of the Castle Hill. Access from the front entrance is one floor down, while access from the car park (Kings Stable Lane entrance) is up two floors. There is no lift and access is from the very secure communal stairs.

The Location
The apartment is located in the Grassmarket area which lies in the very heart of central Edinburgh. It is close to Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile, which leads down to Holyrood Palace. It is a 5 to 10 minute walk to most of the city centre attractions, including Princess Street Gardens, the Royal Mile, the Castle, museum, and art galleries. The Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) just as 10 minute walk from the apartments.
